Spam Control is a tremendous tool in the struggle with spam. But SpamControl only marks a suspected email as spam; it does not delete it. Team One Internet believes that only the end user has the authority and the right to delete their email.
So how do you avoid all those spam emails? By telling your email program to move or delete them automatically. When you receive a spam email, SpamControl has already tagged the email by putting *****SPAM***** in front of the email Subject. You can configure your email program to put all emails marked with *****SPAM***** directly into the Trash folder, or in a separate folder of your choice. The spam never shows up in your Inbox, but it is still in your email program in case of a false positive.
The instructions below describe how to set this up for Microsoft Outlook Express 5.x. All email programs support a similar feature, so check your program's help file for assistance.
